mission statement

The EcoNMR group is focussed on non-invasive NMR measurements of physical parameters that can be related to plant physiological status and dynamics, relevant soil characteristics and interactions between the two.

Developments in recent years have shown that meaningful information on plants and soils can be obtained using advanced NMR methods. In the Institute for Phytosphere (ICG-3) research targets on the investigation of the dynamics of plant processes and the interactions with a varying environment. In this context the development of enabling technologies, such as non-invasive methods (NIM) for the investigation of biological systems is indispensable.

ecoNMR is member of

  • The Competence Centre for Non Invasive Methods ( NIM)
  • The Plant Enabling Technologies group ( plant.ET)
  • The Virtual Institut for Portable NMR ( VIP-NMR )
